The Giant Blue SUV
When I was in college, I was not lucky enough to have a car. Although all of my friends had one, and drove me around, I always felt a lack of personal freedom, not knowing if I will be able to make an appointment or even class on time. It was a rough 4 years but luckily I made it through.
The day after graduation, my father helped me get my very first car. It was 2001, the year everyone was driving the Mitsubishi Eclipse or Honda Accord. When I went to the lot with my dad, I saw my car in the distance. It was black and shiny and sporty looking… I finally purchased my very first car, a black 2001 Mercury Cougar. For the first time, I felt free. That car was a true gem. I drove it until 2010, and it only had 80,000 miles on it.
After 9 years with my faithful Black Cougar, it was once again time for a new car. At that period in my life, I had also been planning on moving to Arizona so I was looking for a new car that was a bit bigger. When I walked into the Ford Dealership, I knew I wanted that red 2010 Ford Escape. It was perfect for me and my needs.
I negotiated with the sales guy, and we came to a close.. I even got to ding the bell and balloons fell on me. I was excited, except for one problem; they were out of red on that lot. I wanted my car NOW, not tomorrow or in a week… so what was I to do? I simply could not wait.
They did, however, have the same vehicle in blue. I looked at it, I thought about it, I wasn’t sure to be quite honest, but I just wanted my new car NOW.. So I went with the blue. It looked great at first, but after my road trip and moving, my blue SUV made me feel like I was driving a giant blue boat. It was the color, and simply the color that I just hated. But I had no choice, my lack of patience got me stuck in that blue boat, and stuck for a long time.
After 5 years of that blue, I got to the point of embarrassment while driving the Escape.
Now, I don’t make a ton of money, so buying a new car was not even an option. My payments are almost done and I can’t wait to be able to free up that $400 / month for something else. Since I tend to complain about the color of my car quite often, my cousin told me about something that could help solve my problem. Car Wrapping??? Never heard of it.
Anyways, to make a long story short, I called a company called AGD AutoGlass & Tint Co. They are located in tempe, just a few miles from my house. AGD was awesome right from the start. They were upfront about pricing, and even cut me a deal. They took my blue boat into the shop the very next day, and wrapped it with a 3M Color Changing Vehicle Wrap. Guess what color I chose?? yep, RED!
I finally got my red SUV, the one I wanted 5 years. If you find yourself in the same type of bind, or just hate the look or color of the car you seem to be stuck with, call AGD Auto Glass & Tint Co.. they will literally give your vehicle the makeover it deserves! That’s me below.. happy, wearing red and about to drive away in my new Red SUV!!
