Don’t Ignore These Signs of Window Damage

Windshield damage is incredibly common in Arizona. Our roads are notorious for flying rocks and debris that hit your windshield and cause damage before you even have a chance to react. While some damage is minor and can be ignored, there is some damage to windshield that should not be ignored.  Certain types of damage to your windshield will only continue to grow and worsen, or the damage is so big it hinders your view and thus your safety while driving.  We all want to save money and time but if you are experiencing some types of damage, it is much better and safer to get your windshield repaired,

If you have a crack in your windshield, one of the biggest factors determining whether or not it needs to be replaced is the size of the crack.  If a crack is smaller than the size of a quarter, it probably doesn’t need to be immediately addressed.  However, if your crack started smaller and grew or was always larger in size it should be repaired or replaced right away.  The structural integrity of your window is compromised by large cracks and since your windshield is one of your most important safety features, you don’t want to be driving around with that safety compromised.

Another reason the size of the crack matters is if it is blocking your view.  If your view is obscured at all by damage to your windshield, it is making it unsafely to drive your car and is a sign to contact a windshield repair and replacement company as soon as possible.  The damage should be professionally repaired or your windshield replaced to ensure your car is safe to operate.
